I am loving these new stamps released by Texana Designs. Jillian O'Diorne (my talented daughter) added to the Halloween line this year with the ghost, scarecrow, dracula and a treat bag (not shown here). Karen Lambert drew the branch and the crow. Frankie was released last year, but the mini was released this year along with the mini sugar skull.
I made a custom stamp pad with Distress Reinkers and applied to specialty stamping paper with a brayer for the background. The moon was masked before applying the color. Masking takes more practice so each of the spooks were stamped and fussy cut before becoming part of the card.
I love the big Texas skies in West Texas. The Belt of Venus is the pink color in the East created by the earth shadow of the sitting sun. I also wanted to add a few stars to the night sky. Some of the cards show my attempt at spooky clouds, but that will take more practice too.
Just a peak at a few more samples I've made this month are below. Check out the Texana Designs blog in a few days for more samples from the entire design team. We will also at Sassy Scrappers in Wimberley on Saturday September 10th from 10:30 to 12:30 for some great make'n'take cards. Hope to see you there!
